Welcome to the Effort Foundry Inspection Camera!
Effort Foundry frequently communicates with its customers to discuss tooling-related issues. In order to improve the discussion process, we have developed a video system that will enable our customers to view tooling, castings, and blueprints in a real-time feed from our foundry. Your monitor will display the same image that ours does, and you will be able to manipulate the camera to take a closer look, pan around, etc. the same way we do.
Combine the video feed with a phone connection, and together we can discuss alterations, check dimensional accuracy against the part blueprints, discuss casting quality issues or perform other steps as though we were standing together here in our foundry.
Enabling the system is simple. When we’ve both agreed that the video system is the best way to address a given issue, begin by downloading and following the instructions to install/use the camera (a print-ready PDF copy of the instructions can be downloaded here or viewed here.)
When you’re ready to begin the session, your contact here at Effort will turn on the webcam and give you a password. Enter it at left and click the “Login” button to launch the feed. Once the session is complete, simply close your browser window.
We hope you find this resource to be as helpful as we think it will be. We welcome any comments or suggestions you may have, and we look forward to seeing you online!
