Welcome to the Effort Foundry Inspection Camera!
Effort Foundry frequently communicates with its customers to discuss tooling-related issues. In order to improve the discussion process, we have developed a video system that will enable our customers to view tooling, castings, and blueprints in a real-time feed from our foundry. Your monitor will display the same image that ours does, and you will be able to manipulate the camera to take a closer look, pan around, etc. the same way we do.
Combine the video feed with a phone connection, and together we can discuss alterations, check dimensional accuracy against the part blueprints, discuss casting quality issues or perform other steps as though we were standing together here in our foundry.
We offer two types of video connections: a web-based system and a ‘web meeting’ system. To use our web-based video system, begin by downloading and following the instructions to install and use the camera (a print-ready PDF copy of the instructions can be downloaded here or viewed here.)
If you have a web meeting provider such as WebEx then you can share your desktop with the Effort employee who is connected to the camera internally. This option has the advantage of not requiring an ActiveX download by the customer.
We hope you find this resource to be as helpful as we think it will be. We welcome any comments or suggestions you may have, and we look forward to seeing you online!
